Celiac Disease Information: A List of Reliable Sources
Celiac Disease information is available from countless websites. Who can you trust? There is a lot of disagreement over many issues, so in the end you have to work with your doctor or health care professional to figure out what works for you. But it helps to learn about the different theories.
One of my favorite sources is the Celiac Sprue Association, which has been around since the late 1970s. They not only give trustworthy information, but they link to a lot of scientific articles like these articles about oats and gluten. The CSA site was very helpful as I sorted through all the Celiac Disease information out there, which can be very overwhelming.
Another favorite is the Celiac Disease Foundation. The CDF works toward promoting awareness of Celiac Disease, and provides resources, including local resources. They can help you meet other people with Celiac Disease, and build a supportive community with your family and doctors.
