Lohan as a Sweetener
by: Judith

Pat,
Thanks for the info about the book on Stevia. I will check it out. Stevia Flakes are actually processed stevia and are one for one with regular sugar.

I prefer not to used processed foods, and sometimes use lohan, a Chinese fruit powder, but it doesn't work as well for baking.

Where To Buy Stevia Flakes
by: Judith

Where can I buy Stevia flakes? My supermarket used to carry them and no longer does.

Thanks,

Judith

Answer

You can get stevia herb powder through Amazon that is just dried and ground stevia leaf. I wonder if that could possibly be used in baking if you manage to disguise it... Maybe it would work for chocolate recipes???

Have you tried it?

They also sell cut & sifted stevia herb which seems like it would be good for tea.
